Accessibility at Cape Ann Symphony

The Cape Ann Symphony is committed to making live orchestral music accessible to everyone in our community. If a particular venue, seat, or arrival arrangement would help you enjoy the concert, please tell us — the box office is here to make it happen.

At every venue

All five of our concert venues are wheelchair accessible with step-free access from the parking lot to the seating. We provide assistive-listening devices at every performance — ask the house manager at the door or pick one up at the box office before the concert begins.

Companion seating, specific section requests, and accessible parking can all be arranged in advance. Call the box office at (978) 281-0543 or email info@capeannsymphony.org at least 48 hours before the performance and we'll set things up.

Seating and arrival

All seating at our concerts is general admission. If you need a particular vantage point — sightlines from a wheelchair, a quieter spot, proximity to an exit, or seating that accommodates a service animal — let us know when you reserve and we'll work with you on the night.

Doors open 45 minutes before curtain. Patrons who need extra time getting to their seats are welcome to arrive early; check in at the box office and we'll seat you before the rush.

Tickets

Tickets are delivered by email and can be saved to your phone's Apple or Google Wallet, printed at home, or picked up at will-call. If reading email or using a smartphone is difficult, just call the box office — we'll hold your tickets at will-call under your name on the night.

If you arrive at the door without a ticket — lost, forgotten, or otherwise — give us your name. We keep a list of every patron expected and we'll get you in.

Service animals

Service animals are welcome at every performance. If you'd like seating that accommodates your service animal — typically an aisle seat near an exit — let us know in advance and we'll set it up.

This website

We're working to keep capeannsymphony.org accessible to screen readers, keyboard navigation, and assistive technologies. If you encounter a page or feature that's hard to use, please tell us — we'll fix it. Email info@capeannsymphony.org with the URL and a quick description of what didn't work.

Talking to us

The box office is open Tuesday–Friday, 10 AM – 3 PM. We're best reached by phone — (978) 281-0543 — or email at info@capeannsymphony.org. The earlier you can let us know about a specific need, the more time we have to coordinate; 48 hours' notice is ideal.

If we fall short

If you encounter a barrier we haven't anticipated — at one of our venues, on this website, or in any communication from us — please tell us. We'd rather hear about it and fix it than miss it. Call (978) 281-0543 or email info@capeannsymphony.org.
